About OneUp Studios

OneUp Studios was founded in 2002 as a venue to explore and promote video game music, co-founded by both Dale North and Mustin. Since its humble beginnings as posts between the two founders on an internet message board, OneUp Studios has grown into a full blown community for fans and artists of video game music. The founders have made numerous creative alliances with filmmakers, artists, and game makers as well as fellow musicians, leaving their mark on the musical gaming culture. OneUp Studios has created, collaborated on, and released over a dozen albums in the past half decade, and has been featured in publications such as Electronic Gaming Monthly, the Official PlayStation Magazine, and Animerica. With thousands of albums sold and countless public performances nationwide, OneUp Studios is set to continue its mission of letting people know that It's Okay to Listen to Game Music.™

Mustin is the co-founder and owner of OneUp Studios. The Fayetteville, Arkansas based producer is also the owner of his musical production company, Mustin Productions, where he produces various acts under his own label. Mustin's versatility is evident as the multi-instrumentalist is a musical performer, composer, and arranger, covering a full range of work, from film and television music to fully produced album releases.

Mustin has created a name for himself in the game music community through his hard work. His single-song arrangement releases grew in popularity and after time led to fully produced compilations as well as eventual establishment of OneUp Studios. He continues to produce game music arrangement albums and performs with game music cover band, The OneUps.

Dale North is the director and co-founder of OneUp Studios. The singer/songwriter works out of his Northwest Arkansas based studio, recording and releasing his works as an independent artist. Dale is also a composer and arranger, and has worked on various game and film projects, including full album releases. Additionally, through his company Northmedia, Dale is a musical engineer, mixing albums for numerous clients, and covering a wide range of styles from Jazz to Hip-Hop.

Dale's enthusiasm for game music shows through the extensive amount of work he's done on over a dozen albums and over fifty individual releases, not to mention public performances and promotion. Dale is an active member of the game music community, acting as both an arranger and engineer, as well as a devoted proponent. His goal is to continue to collaborate with other musicians through OneUp Studios, doing his part to help elevate game music's appreciation worldwide.
