As the staff writer for OneUp Studios, I suppose it is my undertaking to deliver some sort of periodical article; a hard-hitting piece of writing that isn't afraid to ask the important questions, or to answer them. So, in all drama and fury I deliver my inquiry: See any good movies lately?

Personally, I finally saw Koyaanisqatsi, an amazing film that manages to do so much without plot or characters or dialogue. Focused on the often ignored aspects of background, it should seem that any at this website should be interested, what with the appreciation we all feel for that overlooked by others. Philip Glass at his finest, the score is one that invokes emotion and strengthens the soul, even for those left without one from past dealings in the underworld.

Speaking of which, I have an appointment I need to get to, so I'll just leave this post as it is; unedited and untamed. See you on the other side.

Oh, and good to meet you.

not entirely sure whether or not this question is rhetorical, but i'd like to take the time to answer anyway: yes.
an emphatic "yes."
my wife and i recently had the pleasure of seeing Hayao Miyazaki's "Spirited Away"...i don't see a way that i could possibly speak for this visual and aural feast of a film; so, i'll just say that i would highly recommend it to just about anyone, whether or not they are a fan of Japanese animation...i hope that it is widely distributed very soon so that all may enjoy....

Haven't seen any lately, but I can tell you two good ones which will be coming up in December. Star Trek 10, and more importantly, The Two Towers.

I wanna see Spirited Away so bad, but its only in 4 Cities at the moment, which is really pissing me off. Why they wouldn't release it all over the place, I dunno, they're releasing it to a few more theaters every week, I hope my city gets it next week.

And just what cities would that happen to be? I'd like to see that movie.

Have I seen any good movies lately? Well... recently I saw Evolution on HBO. So, that would be a "no".

I just saw "Bandits" a few weeks ago... I liked Billybob's hair when he wasn't in disguise, even if it was just a wig. Other than that I was forced to watch Pocahontas II while I was babysitting. Die, John Smith. Die.

I also just caught Spirited Away and I must say that it was amazing and VERY bizarre, but in a good way. If you are a fan of Miyazaki's work then you really enjoy it. I still prefer Mononoke but Spirited Away is a very close second. I really wish some of his earlier movies would come out on DVD, I would love to see them, oh well........

I had to review "Feardotcom," "Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever," and "Sweet Home Alabama" for my hometown paper. So, to answer your question: No. And I'll leave it at that.

Hahaha, those three movies sound like real "winners". The movies coming out lately have been rather poor. I like to consider myself a bit of a movie buff but I haven't been to the theaters in what feels like months. This might be do to the fact that the last movie I saw in theaters was "XXX" and that may be the reason why I have been avoid the theaters lately.
