View Full Version : What I find funny about Luigi's Mansion...

I just beat Lugi's Mansion earlier today and shut it off to give it a break. About an hour later, I found myself going through the hidden mansion, which is supposedly harder.
So far, the only 2 things that I've noticed made it harder are books fly out at you in the library and when capturing the twins, one of them drops bombs at you.
Anyways, that's besides the point. I sat there for an hour to an hour and a half playing it and was amazed at how fast I've played through it. I beat Chauncey (boss of Area 1) in maybe 10 minutes...if not less. And I went all the way up to and defeated Boolossus (boss of Area 3) in the time I played it.
But yet, it took me over the course of 2 weeks to play it the first time, on the "easier" mode... 8O

It was a fun game, but too short to justify buying IMO. I beat the game in 2 days in a rental.

Well, yeah, it's hours that count over days, but still, I just beat King Boo in the hidden mansion and I definitely beat it in about 1/4 as long through the "harder" mode than I did in the regular mansion. Will I go through a 3rd time? Probably not...my plan as of now is to beat Final Fantasy IX again.

did you guys know there is a reference to this game in super mario sunshine?
in the area with the haunted hotel..on the highest level where the ventilation shafts are located.
there are a bunch of ghosts up there and also a janitor. if you talk to him he says something along the lines of "what are all these ghosts doing here...someone really should come along and suck them up with a vacuum cleaner!"
heh heh..just thought you guys would like to know.
on a side note..i just got through a 1 hour and 37 minute game of yahoo chess! my brain is officially fried for the evening....

Didn't play Mario Sunshine...never felt the urge to. However, I never felt the urge to play Luigi's Mansion either, but I saw it @ EB for $15 and picked it up. After playing that game and enjoying it, if I have $20 left out of my next check I intend to go to EB and pick it up.

well its definitely not the marvel mario 64 was, and the level design is pretty lacking in my opinion..but a lackluster mario game is still a SUPERB game nontheless...its at least worth a rental if your a fan of the genre.

It was an interesting idea and a pretty fun game. I just think they could have done more with it than they did

So where's the funny part?
I hate Fred Durst.

So where's the funny part?
That I spent over the course of 2 weeks (less than a day in hours...not sure how many) on the regular mansion, and the "harder" hidden mansion I beat in the course of a day (probably about 2-3 hours.)
