I pre-ordered Pokemon Colloseum today. How should I feel?

-Miles

At least I didn't write/type it with an accent.

Miles, tell me if the preview of the new Pokemon: Super Happy Fun Time Secret Pokemon's Wish for the Power of One With Mewtwo's Revenge movie on the pre-order disc is any good.

Never got into Pokémon, never will. They're just little rats that are easy to kick the shit out of in Smash Bros. Melee to me. But I don't think anyone's an idiot for liking it. I have my share of cutesy game interests like Harvest Moon, so I'm not one to talk.

Man, I really liked the original, RBY version of Pokemon, but I never really liked any of the other ones. Too bad I lost my Pokemon Red.

I got bored with the leveling up so I switched to filling out my pokedex. Once that was done, I gave it a rest. But now with Colloseum coming out, I figured I'd pick up where I left off. Jirachi is nice, once you get him up in level.

Back in the Red & Blue Days, I named my favorite Pokemon after FF Summons that had similar appearances or traits.

Chocobo: Doduo/Dodrio (Both are ostrich-like birds)
Mog: Clefairy/Clefable (Both are cute and cuddly and have wings...)
Shiva: Jynx (Both are female ice deities...)
Ifrit: Magmar (Both are fire devils...)
Titan: Machamp (Both are muscle-bound human-looking things...)
Leviathan: Gyrados (Both are snake-like water dragons! This one probably made the most sense of them all...)
Bahamut: Charizard (Both are ferocious western-styled dragons...)
Kirin (FFVI): Tauros (Both are bulls, even if only Kirin is white, with healing abilities...)
Stray (FFVI): Meowth (Both are mischevious cat critters...)
Palidor (FFVI): Fearow (Both have long beaks...)
Tritoch: Pidgeot (I equipped Pidgeot with fire/ice/lightning attacks, so this made sense to me...)
Terrato (FFVI): Onix (Both are earth snakes...)
Fenrir: Ninetales (Both are wolves/foxes...maybe not. Whatever.)

Well, that's all I can remember off hand...I cannot say I really ever got into Gold or Silver, and I never got into Ruby or Sapphire at all...and I did not see any need for Yellow or Crystal. I stuck with the old skool, yo.

WOW! What a great idea! And with over 350 of the suckers to choose from now, the compatibility could be much easier! (Salamence looks much more like a Bahumet figure than Charizard.)

Yeah...I think one of these days I'm gonna go buy another copy of either red or blue...that original version really was pretty good.

I do not know about THAT...
Salamando/Salamander more closely resembles Dragonite, for the scaled chest, and both have relatively friendly demeanors in relative to Charizard.

Charizard is a ferocious-ass dragon, like Bahamut...but if you want to stay consistent with fire and fire, Salamando/Salamander & Charizard I guess would be consistent...after all, Bahamut is non-elemental...

...or are you talking about a Pokemon named "Salamence," because there is a fire summon from the Secret of Mana games named "Salamando" or "Salamander."

In ruby and sapphire there is a pokemon named Salamence, and hes a dragon. You missed ruby and sapphire so, you would't have known. Sorry for the confusion.

I voted "like an idiot" just because that's what I've think of you as of late. As for Pokemon Colloseum, I'll probably pick it up sometime in the distant future...but Twin Snakes and Final Fantasy XI come first :D

Twin Snakes

Oh god...Twin Snakes...I can't WAIT for that to come out. March 3 is too far away...

TRUE THAT. Twin Snakes looks positively spectacular. And Cloud: "Why don't you go outside and play hide and go f(radio edit) yourself?"

Sorry, I'm going to have to ignore this because you're obviously not old enough to say "fuck."

Resident Shadow Mage (And it's staying there, so fuck off my case!!!)

I suck, so what...deal with it.

1.) What exactly is "fuck off my case"?
2.) Thank you for finally getting rid of the OUS Resident Mage part....
3.) Yes...you suck...admission is the first step to recovery.

ON topic, I was pondering pre-ordering the GC Pokemon because of the bonus disc...I love them bonus discs...
Twin Snakes looks hella sweet too...dunno if I'll actually get it though...

Don't mention it...seriously...I now feel like I'm less of a part of OneUp Studios...

a:) if you feel like an idiot or like a kid, or whatever, firstly, you probably ARE a kid. Secondly, it's a game. if you want to get it, go ahead, and stop worrying.

b:) there has never, ever, ever been anything i have cared less about than whether cloud is an official anything. Nor should any of you care if he wants to call himself something.
