Blah...hopefully this poll will last.
On a side note, if anyone has a Sega Master System with some games you want to get rid of, I've been looking for one ever since seeing one for $5 and my mom wouldn't give me the money for it...
On another side note, I tried to list the systems in order from newest to oldest, not too sure how well I did. Also, I'm not sure if I covered all the Ataris.

I said Odyssey II. It's not actually mine, it's my dad's, and I don't know where it is right now, but my parents have said that if they ever find it it's mine.

Odyssey. I just have to find it. I've been having a bad habit of misplacing old systems lately. It's a problem when you live 350 miles away from home half the time and your mom completely re-organizes the house on a whim every couple of weeks.

It used to be a Nintendo, until that broke. Now, it's the still functional PSX.
EDIT: Oh yeah, I used to have the original Gameboy (in its huge grey and green screen glory) after the Nintendo disaster, until that broke. Then, I had a Sega Gamegear (of short lived much larger portable color screen glory) until...I punched it. So...yeah, that's how it goes.

I played SOME Atari but I really started gaming when we got a NES and Megaman 2 when it first came out.
The oldest system I still own is the original Game Boy, and it still works flawlessly. The oldest system we USED to own was the original Pong, plus the Intellivision (with voice module) and old Atari systems.
And is it me, or do very few people even know about the old JVC X'Eye? It's basically a combo SEGA Genesis and SEGA CD in one, except it's not official SEGA.

I need to check and see if my old original Game Boy still works. I think it does, because it did last time I played it, shortly before getting my GBA.

*hangs head in shame* Can my oldest system be my boyfriend's??
Otherwise, the oldest system I currently own is a PSX.
My Nintendo died.
Odyssey1
2600
7800
ColecoVision w/ 2600 adapter!
Astrocade
Odyssey II
Vectrex
Those are all the old systems I have. They where all given to me by my brothers, under the condition that they can use them anytime they want..I'm fine with that!

My Nintendo died.
What a sad fact. I weep for you and your fallen system, madam.

Wow...it's so common to hear a Nintendo died because Nintendo's were so buggy. I've owned 2 Nintendo's and they're buggy and just about all the friend's Nintendo's I've played are buggy, too. But it's great that Nintendo learned from their mistakes...the SNES and N64 are practically indesructable, so I'm guessing the GCN is, too.
By the way, technically Gameboy shouldn't count, as the poll question asks for oldest console, not oldest system.
dang...when do you turn 18? I wont until July..

SNES...
Unfortunately, the NES fried in a terrible series of events of Vs Household Appliances. It did perfectly well against the fridge (heck! it even played better!), but in the end it lost against the microwave.

Uh...let me know in advance if you ever come to my house. I'll have to put a lock on the cabinet where my systems are :?

Ditto for every one of those. Mario 2 was always my fave on the old GB. Sonic rox my sox, so, to this day I play my old Genesis.

Well, actually, it was my brother's NES, and it was my brother doing all of that...And really, it was only because the damn thing wasn't working very well and we were sick of not having a SNES. Next Christmas, BLAMMO! SNES in da house!
So In Closing Note: Do not try this at home (although I recommend puttin' it in the Fridge!).

Haha...trust me...I know just how though an SNES is...SNES isn't a piece of crap system that's easy to break like Playstation 2 is.
(Damn, that could spark up a flamewar, so let me clarify my evidence. My SNES took a lot of beating when I was young and is still in perfect working order. My Playstation 2 just sat on a shelf and after awhile burned out, forcing me to buy a new one.)

Just more evidence that cart and disc systems need to be handled and cared for differently, nothing more, nothing less.

My bro and I had an NES back in the day (when I was like... five or six... '90 or '91), but he recently tried to make it play but it's dead. ;-; Our SNES died, too. He could make it play, and we could hear it, but couldn't get a picture. But that was after he foolishly lent it to a friend. -_- My bro has an original GameBoy that till works. I think it still works. The screen tends to flicker, but it plays. I had a GameGear, but it died. Um... so the oldest console I have that still works would be... PSOne.
I don't feel hardcore. ;-;

You know, if N64 could keep up with PSX and SDC when they stayed with cartridges and the other 2 were CDs and all 3 were a 64 bit system, I wonder if it would've been possible for NIntendo to use carts for a 128 system? Discs scratch and misread...carts don't.

My oldest system is a Sega Genesis or SNES. When I was a kid, my mom made my brother and I trade in our original NES to get the Sega Genesis. I later got an SNES in high school, just so I could play FF VI (the only SNES game I own, but it's worth having an SNES just for this one game).
My brother later made amends by buying a used NES and most of the games we once had, so I can always play his system when I feel nostalgic. But in general, many of those older games don't capture my attention the way they once did...
These days I mostly play my GBA, for which I have the most games (~16 or so). I love being able to play anywhere - road trips, in bed before going to sleep, at school, etc etc. Lots of fun on the run.
Those three are the only systems I own (Genesis, SNES, GBA). No PS, PS2, Gamecube, etc. I'm contemplating buying a Sega Saturn (about $30 tops) so I can play Dragon Force, Albert Odyssey, and some other Saturn games I inherited from a friend.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure I got my nintendo for 90' christmas. We got mario 3 and the whole action set with duckhunt/mario. What about marble madness and pebble beach golf on the apple IIGS? that was before that right? Guess a IIGS isnt a console tho :)

Not for me... Loved that game, was a good challenge! My brother and I used to go head to head all the time, what great memories...

I had the old Sega Master system with Alex Kidd and Rampage. Rampage was great 2-player destructo time! I also had the old Game Gear with Sonic 2 and Bubble Bobble. I think my dad is using it to hold books up though. That reminds me I want my Game Gear back. I also had a Nintendo but its in Guatemala. How it got there is still a mystery to me. I've had that system since I was born so I guess I've been a gamer for life. I think they gave it to me at the hospital so my parents wouldn't have to work on bettering me. Oh and Genesis with ALL the Sonic Games.

Ah, Rampage. I haven't played that in a long ass time. I think I need some good ol' city-destroying action.
Oh yeah, welcome to OUS, missinglink! Psst...Buy the SEGA album...

Go buy Midway Arcade Treasures...Rampage and Marble Madness are both on it. I don't own it yet, but it's on my $20 or less pickup list (Um Jammer Lammy's coming first since I found it new for $10 and it's hard to come by.)
