What RPG should I play next?

I can't stress enough how much you must play Valkyrie Profile.

VP gets my nod, too.Sweet 2D graphics, interesting battles, beautiful music, and overall creativity (and Norse Mythology kicks, too).

You can try out La Pucelle Tactics, another delightful strategy rpg from Nippon Ichi, makes of Disgaea. Better to try it soon before it becomes rare.

I really enjoyed Arc 1 - simple, quick burst of 2D tactical joy.

i would choose suikoden. its a very long game, that invovles not only party-type battles, but also strategy-style battles, and large-scale army engagements.


its a real fun game, i enjoyed it emmensly, i think you will too.

I'm voting Suikoden. Hound already mentioned the battle systems but I would also recommend it for it's story and music as well.

My second choice would be Arc the Lad. A fun quick game but really only a sort of intro to the second game in the series. Once you've finished Arc 1 you would probably want to get started on Arc 2 right away and that game can be very long depending on if you try to do just about everything there is to do in the game. Long but very worthwhile; you shouldn't get bored with it. Also once you have gotten a certain ways through the game you can start using your save data to play in the Monster Arena side game. A great place to level up and earn some nice prizes that will really help you in the game.

Hell yes. That was my vote too. Too bad I started Arc 2 and got distracted by other things, which happens to me a lot.

Lunar 2's another good one, but I didn't like it quite as much as the first one.

I will be starting a game of Earthbound this week, and hopefully I'll actually finish the damn thing this time.
