looking at DS? I was sooo looking foward for it. I mean, wireless? Wi-fi? Touch Screen?!!! WHA!!! .. no no get this

damn that think will soo be in my pocket bu the time it comes out. but then .. I started to realise .... "Wait .... I know nintendo, they wont release that many games" and then I looked at this ..

now I know I am buying a PSP no matter what. with DVD capibilites, wireless, wi-fi, and such a HUGE screen. I am only worried how long the batteries will last.

I'm learning towards the DS because of the lower price point and all the potential with the second touch screen. Besides, the idea of playing Metroid deathmatches, Crystal Chronicles role playing, and Super Mario 64x4 in wireless sounds sublime. The idea of voice chats (I hope, with the voice recognition technology) and sending your doodles over to a pal sounds like fun, too. More 3rd party support, pleaaaaase.

The PSP sounds promising, too. Show me some killer exclusives and then sign me up.

Having played both, I'm going with the DS. When it comes to games I'm about Innovation and fun. The new WarioWare is so fun, the deathmatch in Metroid is something I never would have thought of, but damn it's so good. Just the things you can do with two connecting screens is so great.

Bottom line? PSP for movies, DS for games baby. Because Nintendo knows how to make the games I want to play.

God, I'm loving E3 :D

God I wish I was at E3.

If I get either its gonna be the DS. Sony makes very questionably sound game hardware and DS seems to be much more innovative in terms of gaming. PSP just plays normal games and has all the extras. I'm about gaming. New, interesting gaming. DS gaming.

Well, I was saving up some money to pick up a GBA SP next month, but now I think I'll wait. The DS is only fifty more and comes out in a few months. It's not like I'll be needing an SP anytime soon.

But this... this looks amazing. It has the games I want to play AND it's backwards compatible? I'll take it!

Scrounging up $150 by this fall won't be a problem... I hope.

DS for sure, I won't even be getting a PSP now after reading all in the info on it. I mean, it's a handheld, it doesn't need a music and movie feature, Sony is trying to make their consoles unconsolelike (re: PSX).

hey there is nothing wrong with psx, I would buy it if I had the chance, and judging by how many games are coming out, I am happy for PSP, I mean I know nintendo, and I know that they wont release any better games than their Mario, Zelda, or Metroid. I am buying PSP(i'm buying both :lol: ). but I know PSP will have TONS TONS TONS of more fun games than DS.

So... wait. Nintendo has mentioned the backwards compatability issue, but has there been any mention of connectability? That was one of the reasons I wanted an SP (as I have the Game Boy Player already).

DS is something NEW and INNOVATIVE and it's game lineup is fucking AWESOME...
Notice that while Squeenix is supporting both systems, they have 1 title in the works for PSP but THREE for the DS?
I think PSP will make a name for itself, but the DS will be the system to beat...

I will probably end up getting both. I tend to be able to spend all the money I earn (which isn't a whole lot at once, but after two or three paychecks, it becomes quite a bit) on what I want, since my parents and my scholarship take care of my financial needs. So I'll probably eventually be able to get both.
