Just got mine in today. Penny Arcade shipped it pretty fast too! (faster than another organization... *cough*)

The damn thing was wrapped up like they didn't want me to play it but I got it open and am listening to it now. I'm loving it! Normally I'm not the kind of person that likes vocals in this kind of thing but I'm really digging it.

**EDIT**
Wow, every track is really good. I'm quite partial to The Lint Song and Game Store Girl. Of course it goes without saying that Crash Man is the best song on the album though. :P

I got my copy, and I'm really diggin' it too. I concur that I favor the instrumental tracks over the vocal ones, although I can get into some of them. I especially enjoy the OneUps' and Smash Brothers' tracks, naturally. :) And Mustin - great job with the production on this, it's really tight. And kudos to doing all this for charity. I hope the venture's profits have in turn helped out those in need, one way or another.

Fuckin awesome CD. Love Power Rangers so so so so so much. Crash Man is the shit, awesome Freezepop remix, Grammar Club is fantastic as always and Onett made me come.

Two thumbs up, and my cock up as well.

Nice to hear some feedback. Glad you all are digging it. I'm really happy with that CD - wish it had gotten more publicity.

You'd think G4 would try cover it or something.
So far I think there's two tracks that are kinda "meh" songs.
Love "Still Alive", but it just doesn't have the magic of the original. Not sure if it's because it's a live song, if it's Felicia Day singing, or because it's pretty much just acoustic guitar instead of a full band. Enjoyable, but on such a great disc, it's a low point.
Same with MC Front. Just didn't dig that song. Maybe it'll grow on me, but I've heard much better from him than this track.

I think I'm an Anamanaguchi fan now though.

Yea "Still Alive's" charm came from the robotic and choppy (stacatto) like singing. Felicia's singing was good but it flowed a little to much.

Didnt really get into Kill the Chupacabra either. His singing at the begining turned me off and i never got past it.

So is Anamanaguchi's new CD out yet? and if so where to buy.

This album was half and half for me. I think I'm too old to appreciate the Power Rangers song. That was what friend's little brothers watched. MC Lars and Frontalot's songs didn't do much for me either.

But on the other hand, I really like the Chupacabra song all the game covers are excellent. The highlights for me are the chiptunes, which is odd, because I never really thought I liked those very much. I'll have to retry the genre. Virt's sounds a lot like old Machinae Supremacy and it makes me walk just a little bit faster.

Ultimately I'm really pleased with the album, and none of it is a disappointment because of what the money went to.

Mustin: Excellent take on the Freezepop song.

I like other stuff by Frontalot and Lars (more the former, though), but have to agree with the others. The Lint Song is a little catchy, but I find the lyrics dumb.

New ARMCANNON, The Grammar Club, and The OneUps is certainly welcome.

Got this awhile back, but forgot to post on it.

Excellent CD on the whole. I'd have liked a few more actual VGM tracks, but the other stuff is quite enjoyable too. Love the ARMCANNON cover of Power Rangers. And it's so great to finally get a studio version of Crash Man, which has always been my favorite song from The OneUps' live sets, or really from anything The OneUps do. I seriously would've bought this album for this alone. I like the Smash Brothers song; some nice quoting done in the middle of it, and it's definitely my favorite version of Onett thus far. And the Select Start track is such an awesome version of Terra that I had to find more of their stuff (I only had like two or three other tracks), and stumbled upon the very excellent free album.

The non-VGM stuff I can't say as much about, as I've only listened to them a couple of times, but it's all pretty much great. Really enjoyed the whole album. Nice Work!

Any chance for a reprint of this? Or a way to donate money to Child's Play and get the mp3s? I want to pick up a copy, but it's been sold out on the PA site for a long while.
