I have finally played Xenosaga

I had the game since it came out, but Sony was fixing my PS2 so I could not play it until I got my PS2 back.

I also own the game and I am really enjoying it.

At first, I wasn't to crazy about it due to the HEAVY amount of cutscenes, but I got use to it and now I am really sucked in (heck, I haven't even touched Wind Waker yet).

Episode III is coming out at the end of the month, I have my copy preordered.

It's the LAST game in the series, I'm orgasmating at the end of Xeno, I've been catching up on the multitude of Xeno storyline information and notes I've had to take over the past few years so I can keep up.

If you haven't played II yet, let me say this: Don't expect an upgrade. They spent an ungodly amount of money on both sides of the shores for Episode I expecting sales just under Final Fantasy numbers, and when it seriously underperformed, they had to scale everything back without making it LOOK like everything was scaled back. So, it's a MUCH shorter game (20 hours. Don't let the two discs fool you), and the English dub feels severely rushed and done as cheaply as they could (Not to mention missing some of the original voices for half the main characters). I'm not expecting Episode III to be much more. However, Yuki Kajira's back, so that's a plus. It's not Mitsuda and the London Philharmonic Orchestra, but I dig her "New Age music for people who want to kick ass" style.

I still really enjoy the Xenosaga series despite its numerous flaws. Maybe it's because I could watch the cutscenes all day and don't really care about their length.The more cinematic style suits me just fine. The story isn't nearly as good as Xenogears, but it does enough. So does the gameplay, even if there were moments in II where I thought to myself "I want to play that" while watching a cutscene (Like Xenogears Disc 2). I can see why people hate the series, but it entertains me..... more than some of the more revered series these days.

my favorite game series, bar none. and at the top of my favorite games ever, Xenogears is number one. its the type of game built for a specific type of gamer, and I'm so pumped about the end of the month so I can play III.

I really loved xenosaga also, played thru it 3 times which is really rare for me, regardless of how much I liked it. II isn't as magical, but its a damned solid game.

I know how you guys feel. I just finished up episode 2 yesterday and then started trying to find recap information for what happened in ep 1 and 2. I hear that someone mentioned briefly in ep 1 shows up in a big way in ep 3.

I heard they canned Episodes IV-VI. Does that mean they're gonna try and cram the rest of the story into III?

I had a lot of fun with Xenogears and Xenosaga I. I never beat either though. Because they are so story dependant when ever I tried to replay them, I got bored. Maybe someday when I forget the storylines I will.

I love how I didn't even touch the Xenosaga series yet... One of those days I'm gonna get all three and play through. Hopefully I won't be let down, 'cause Xenogears is my favorite console RPG (even with the psychoreligious babbling and lengthy non-interactive disc twos).

Xenogears is one of my personal favorites (after FFVI, FF Tactics, and Chrono Trigger). Xenosaga Ep. I was amazing. I never finished Episode II (actually, only got through Disc 1), though I plan to start over from the beginning of Episode I and play all the way through Episode III once it comes out.
