There seem to be a lot of these Metroid 25th anniversary tribute albums. I am beyond certain that this will be the best by a landslide.

Where's download link + why it released late? Is it still the anniversary album even though it missed the anniversary?

Is there a reason for the spelling errors?

They have taken the bridge and the second hall. We have barred the gates but cannot hold them for long. The ground shakes, drums... drums in the deep. We cannot get out. A shadow lurks in the dark. We can not get out... they are coming...

Holy balls this album is really, REALLY good. One or two songs I don't dig too much on first listen, but they may grow on me. The Metroid Medley is tits and I think Diggi Dis has my favorite track on the album.
    REALLY solid stuff.

Hold on to a few copies for me. I'll buy them at MAGFest. Might as well save on shipping fees and what not if I'll just see you guys in person in a few weeks.

Gonna try to find time to write a more comprehensive review later, but I just wanted to get it out that po! never ceases to amaze me. LOVE the Nujabes-style piano break...makes me choke up a little every single time.

This is definitely a "grow on you" kinda album. It's more cohesive than previous efforts. Having mostly been mixed and mastered by DiggiDis, it added a continuity that hasn't been present on previous albums. This one may not jump out and grab your balls like CHRONOTORIOUS but I think I'm going to like it better overall for the solidness. I've found various little riffs and melodies getting stuck in my head when I'm out and about on my day and stop and ask, "Where is that from?" And then I remember it's a short part in Kunal's track or Frank's or whatever. Awesome stuff.

Repeated listens have me enjoying nearly the whole thing quite a bit. But there's still two tracks that just don't work for me. Just personal preference.
I don't want to name tracks or artists to upset anybody, but we can always just blame Kunal to make everybody happy.
    Fucking Kunal.

Steph and I are doing it the smart way: Downloading a copy RIGHT NOW, then buying copies from you guys at MAGFest, in the hopes that filthy, filthy Bad Dude fingers will rub all over the packaging.

    So sexy.

    I ordered the physical copy.

I need to figure out what OUS/Bad Dudes stuff I'm missing.

I think all I'm missing is OneUps vol 2.

This is not Facebook, so I can't just "Like" DCT's post. I have to make my own post to express my agreeance. That takes time. Time I don't have.

Dang it's been a long time. I've been meaning to post here for a while.

I ordered the CD almost as soon as it was available, and I literally got it about 24 hours later. So first of all, thanks for that. It was a very pleasant surprise.

First of all, it's a great album. It's got a great collection of artists and a nice variety of music. I'm also really glad I got the physical copy. The artwork/info is awesome, and I really like the bonus track (thanks Mustin). I like the paper packaging too. It's clean and neat.

po!'s track is actually one of my favorites, even though I don't think much of the lyrics. Other favorites are Morse's track and Singularity.
