Favorite Video Game: I've had most fun with the Mario games, but I also really like Jet Force Gemini, 1943, and the Mega Man games.
Favorite Video Game Soundtrack: Streets of Rage 2, but I really like Secret of Evermore and Final Fantasy IV, too.
Favorite Video Game Character: Bowser, hands down. He's a bad dude. Always SnatchingUp The Princess and he has an army of minions - I can get down with that.
Favorite Video Game Snack Food: I usually don't like to snack when playing because I don't like getting the controller dirty.
Most Influential Musician: The Neptunes, MJ Cole, and Mondo Grosso affect me the most as a musician. As far as Game Music, Koji Kondo.
First Experience with Music: I remember picking up a saxophone in the 6th grade for the first time and playing "I Heard It Through the Grapevine." Then I went home and learned the whole beginner book in one nite.
Musical Accomplishment: I've done a lot of cool things - won awards, traveled, met celebs and what not all because of my music career, but I think the most satisfying accomplishment was having my High School Symphonic Band perform a piece that I wrote my Senior Year of High School. There's just something about 60 people all playing your music - it's powerful.
Favorite OneUps Memory: The very first practice in 2002. We crashed and burned through "Super Mario Bros," had a good time with "Koopa Beach" from Super Mario Kart, but when we played "Monkeys" from Mario Paint I knew this is something I had to do. I was so overwhelmed with emotion and nostalgia - I knew I had to bring this to other people so they could feel what I felt that day, and every time we play. |
